The Roparun is a team event. It is not possible to register as an individual. But it is possible to offer yourself on our site as a team member, to get in touch with a team. This can be done via the ‘Team members wanted’ page.
Registrations will open on 1 August. Existing teams will be given the deadline of 1 September by the organisation, for them to indicate whether they will take part again next year. Existing teams that have raised more than 7,500 euros are entitled to team number retention if they register before 1 October. After this date it will be known which team numbers are available for new teams, and the organisation can distribute them.
If you register on time as an existing team (below 7,500 euros achieved before 1 September and above 7,500 euros achieved before 1 October), you are assured of keeping your current team number. After 1 September and after 1 October, the released numbers will be assigned to the new teams that have registered. This will be done in order of registration. The teams will be notified and the team number will be visible on the website.
The registration fee for Roparun 2020 is 3,130 euros. For the Half Roparun this is €1965.
The following is included in the registration fee:
12 sets of participant numbers for runners and cyclists
Car stickers with the team number
Volunteer supervision at checkpoints and on motorcycles along the route
Environmental sites and sanitary facilities at the starting locations and along the route
If necessary (medical) support along the route from the emergency team in accordance with the Roparun regulations
If necessary (technical) support in the event of a serious breakdown/accident
A central emergency number for emergencies (permanent staffing by the General Coordination Team in the Netherlands during the Roparun)
A participating team must take into account additional costs for, among other things: road maps or navigation systems, first-aid boxes (mandatory in every vehicle), food and drink, vehicle costs such as bus or motorhome hire, fuel costs, insurance, costs of accompanying persons, bicycles and lighted jackets for runners and cyclists. After registration via the website you will receive a confirmation of receipt if the organisation has received your registration correctly. Once the registration has been processed, you will see this on the Roparun website, and you will receive an e-mail granting access to the team portal.
Registration officially becomes definitive after payment of the registration fee. If the entry or raffle money has not been paid within the set deadlines, the organisation is entitled to disqualify the team.
